Fresh off a cruise through Greece, Italy and Turkey, I was full of inspiration. The coastal waters in the Med sparkle and dance of turquoise and gold. This was my interpretation of pulling into port early in the morning while the city is still quiet, just before the streets fill with tourist. So peaceful and serene but aching to be discovered. This original acrylic textured abstract measures 11.5x13.5 framed.

This is an award winning piece from the Brunswick Arts Council show. A mixture of blue and green within the background and  a floral lotus motif is visualized from the front of the ginger jar. During this ginger jar series of work I had been influenced by imagery within the temples and architecture of Asia. Inspired by the architecture and Elephant motif seen throughout the temples of Asia. The Elephant is one of the most revered animals of all. Images of the lotus leaf and gold intertwine over the Elephant as he moves around the ginger jar.

Ginko, a favorite motif within my work. a symbol of strength and perseverance. The layers of the ginko leaves reveal line and texture within a monochromatic red color palette. This is an original, one of a kind monotype.

I spent 12 years living on Peaks Island, off the coast of Portland,, Maine. My constant influence was the sea and it's beautiful creatures. Of course the Lobster is "Queen!"

I enjoy making small pieces of work full of color and artistic experimentation. This piece is exactly that! It would be perfect in a small office or special nook within a living space. Bright, Fun and perfect for a coastal cottage. I love bold and bright color in beach motifs. This original monotype in green, pink and white adds fun and freshness to any decor space. The actual image is 5x7 but placed in a my white 8 x 10 acid free mat the image window is 4.7 x 6.75. Acrylic paint on rice paper.

This piece was inspired by the pattern play and atomic, saucer like shapes of Mid-Century Modern Art of 1950's. Shades of green and yellow fluidly intertwine within layers of acrylic paint. Another experiment that I absolutely adored the results of. This is a more delicate piece, rice paper picks up the imprints & texture on the printmaking plate. 

Original abstract blue and white ginko monotype image on watercolor paper. Full of texture and depth in a classic blue and white combination. I'm drawn in to this piece each time I examine it. It was an experimentation of layering but it remains a favorite of mine.
